VAT & Import Charges
UK VAT & Product Prices
By default all prices on our website are inclusive of UK VAT at 20%. The amount of UK VAT included in the price can be seen on the product page.
However, if you are ordering for delivery to a country outside the UK, including the EU or Channel Islands, you will not have to pay any UK VAT on your order. Channel Islands customers please choose Jersey or Guernsey as the delivery country at checkout to ensure VAT is not charged incorrectly.
Once you enter a shipping address on the Cart/Checkout page, UK VAT will be automatically be removed from your cart total if appropriate, and from the prices displayed elsewhere on our store if you continue browsing.
Please note however that many countries charge VAT and/or Import Duty when you import goods from another country - please see the sections below for more information.
European Customers
With the UK having left the EU there will now be VAT and potentially other import fees payable when ordering from EU or EEA countries. You will not have to pay the UK VAT shown on our store in line with the information above, but you will have to pay VAT and any additional charges to your own country on anything imported from the UK.
These charges will usually consist of VAT at your countries standard rate, plus an admin charge for customs clearance which varies by country. There may be additional import duties to pay, these also vary by country but often range from 3-5%. Please check with your countries customs department for full details of the fees payable.
USA Customers
With President Trump's new tariff regime coming into effect across April and May 2025, and full details still to be published, there is currently some uncertainy about the import duty you may have to pay for importing our products moving forwards.
At a minimum, there is a 10% duty being imposed on UK imports as of 5th April 2025. Note this is the date that the goods formally enter the US, so orders placed prior to this that have not cleared customs by 5th April 2025 may be hit by the new tariffs.
There is, however, a larger 25% duty rate for automobiles and "some" parts. The details of which parts will be hit by this, and when they come into effect, is currently unclear. Some parts already fall under duties imposed as of 2nd April 2025, with others coming into effect on 3rd May 2025, and it seems that some parts will (for now at least) only have the baseline 10% duty imposed.
For any parts covered under the 25% duty rate, this rate replaces the baseline 10% rate, so you won';t have the pay both the 10% and 25% duties, it will be one or the other.
Once we know for certain which (if any) of our products will fall under the 25% duty threshold we will update this page.
Please note that despite what Trump says, import fees, tariffs and duties are a tax on the end consumer of the country they are imposed in - these tariffs are charged by the US government to the importer (you), and are your responsibility to pay.
