TARIFFS, DUTY & VAT
For International Customers
Northern Ireland Customers
The good news is, for individual (retail) customers, generally things will be exactly as before - you will pay UK VAT at checkout, and there should be no additional import fees or charges.
Unfortunately, due to complex customs arrangements following Brexit, moving goods into NI from the rest of the UK is not as straightforward as it used to be for NI businesses.
If you sell to the EU, the goods you buy from us may be considered "at risk" of entering the EU market from NI, and as such may be subject to import fees on entry to NI.
If the goods are not going to be moved to the UK, you can register for a UKIMS number under the Windsor framework, and if you provide this number with your order, the goods can be cleared with no import fees.
Any goods sent to a NI business without a UKIMS number may be subject to duties and VAT, along a similar line as set out in the "European Customers" section below.
UK VAT for International Customers
By default all prices on our website are inclusive of UK VAT at 20%. The amount of UK VAT included in the price can be seen on the product page.
However, if you are ordering for delivery to a country outside the UK, including the EU or Channel Islands, you will not have to pay any UK VAT on your order. Channel Islands customers please choose Jersey or Guernsey as the delivery country at checkout to ensure VAT is not charged incorrectly.
Once you enter a shipping address on the Cart/Checkout page, UK VAT will be automatically be removed from your cart total if appropriate, and from the prices displayed elsewhere on our store if you continue browsing.
Please note however that many countries charge VAT and/or Import Duty and Tariffs when you import goods from another country - please see the sections below for more information.
European Customers
With the UK having left the EU there will now be VAT and potentially other import fees payable when ordering from EU or EEA countries.
You will not have to pay the UK VAT shown on our store, but you will have to pay VAT and any additional duty/fees payable to your own country on anything imported from the UK.
These charges will usually consist of VAT at your countries standard rate, plus an admin charge for customs clearance, which varies by country. There may be additional import duties to pay, these also vary by country but often range from 2-5%. Please check with your countries customs department for full details of the fees payable.
We are not currently registered for IOSS, so we do not collect VAT at checkout for EU countries. You will receive contact from the courier to pay any VAT and other fees due, on or before delivery.
USA Customers
With Donald Trump's tariff regime now in full effect, USA buyers now have tariffs to pay on any goods imported from outside the USA.
But rest assured, we now send all parcels to USA via DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) services - tariffs are calculated and included in the shipping cost dispalyed at checkout.
You will also not have to pay the UK VAT displayed in our store prices, so this will be removed at checkout once you enter a USA delivery address.
This means the price you pay at checkout is the full price you will pay for your order, inclusive of all shipping, tariffs and import duty.
The easiest way to check the full cost of your item, after UK VAT is removed and USA shipping and tartiffs are icnluded, is by adding items to your cart and entering your delivery address at checkout.
Other International Customers
Please check the customs policies of your country regarding imports from the UK to find out if any VAT, duty or other fees may be charged on import.
